Practice What You Preach

Practice What You Preach

A Poem by emodemon666

I did it again,
just this morning.
After so long of them just being scars,
I've re-opened them.
It hurt.
But that's what I want.
The blood was there,
and everywhere.
The tears ruined my makeup.
Is it teen angst?
Maybe,
but I don't think so.
I'm so tired of being told,
it can be worse.
Yes, I know this,
but I don't want to think about how it could be,
let me think about how it is.
I tell my friends to drop the blade.
I should probably practice what I preach.

the poem is full of angst and anger but then pretty normal instead of venting find a positive outlet for it. the piece of writing is quite good.
