That House

That House

A Poem by emodemon666

I can remember your face as clear as a crystal.

The rooms in that small, broken house.

The music you got me to listen to.

The movies and shows we would binge watch.

Just kids who could live forever.

Your family. Your home. Your feelings.

My feelings. We shared it all.

Certain songs you loved still makes me cry.

But, for you I fake a smile and say it’s ok.

But, I will never go near that house again.

I can’t.

Not anymore.
