Try, Try Again

Try, Try Again

A Poem by emodemon666

I’m not ready for life, this I know.

For what’s above and what’s below.

The struggles, the bliss, the never ending fight,

With bills, college, money and fright.

Maybe I’ll just sit in agony,

waiting, hoping, watching,

as the black consumes my eyes and my life.

Maybe I won’t be able to handle it.

That thing called life.

Maybe one day,
As the darkness consumes,

I understand why

I will be happier in the afterlife.

I’ll be ready for what comes,

Whilst I looked down at a pool of blood

beside my wrists.

But I won’t question,

Because I did this.

I will have done it with my trusty knife,

I keep at my right side

at all times.

This knife will cause my liberation,

from the horrors that come,

within this human creation.
