Neglect

Neglect

A Poem by E.J. Michalec

All you do is sit and cry
Acting like your life is full of sighs
When really your life was just fine.

Introduced to so many wonderful things
That you neglected, pushed back
Like you were the king.

You sit with the weight of the world on your shoulders
Really doing nothing except getting older
When the weather was nice, you made yourself colder.

Your life would've been sunny and bright
But for some unknown reason you put up a fight
You hurt me so please, get out of my sight.
