MichalecI followed them Leaving the rest behind I ran, feet bare Along the sun-drenched asphalt I hid Police sirens radiating my eardrums They wouldn’t stop me No one would I looked The coast was as clear as a summer’s day I continued my journey The sun went down The sky, painted with stars It couldn’t stop me Nothing could I couldn’t break I couldn’t lose myself Kept my concentration No time for conversation It seemed like forever Impatience was my enemy One day I will find them I fight for what is mine I don’t consider that a crime © 2011 E.J.
