Blind

Blind

A Poem by E.J. Michalec

I hate that I ever loved you
I can’t believe I was so blind
The very lips you pressed against mine
Were the ones that were feeding me lies
You say that you don’t want to hurt me
But in the end you just wasted my time
Baby, I thought we were picture perfect
And that’s why I missed all the signs

Sorry to say so and again and again...its a perfect mind match situation here haha...forgive me for such remarks..and here i see the beautiful (in its own way) poetry trying to relive moments of utter displeasure caused by lies...

i wrote something like this earlier - 'crimes by mirror'

as always you are awesome Em

Being blind is easy. We can be wishy-washy and forget to see the liar and naysayer words and face. I liked the honest tone of the poem. Nice ending to the excellent poetry.

Thank youuu!
Blindness always comes before perfect vision in matters of love, at least romantic love. We see what we desire most, and we miss or ignore the other stuff. Then, one day, WHAM! We open our eyes, and before our eyes we see the true person. It's a lesson fortunately taught in our youthful years, so we don't walk blindly into the next relationship. Nice job capturing and conveying that here!
