Autumn

Autumn

A Poem by E.J. Michalec

A lovely time of year

Unrecognized beauty surrounds us

The trees, paint a lovely masterpiece on the ground beneath them

Upward, go the gorgeous yellow-orange flames from the firewood crackling

Marshmallows roasting, the smell, taunting your taste buds by the second

Never wanting this perfect moment to end, you think as more leaves from the trees descend

Well done. I love autumn; it's my favorite time of year. This poem feels of autumn and it's rich color, texture and aromas. Well done.
