Stay With Me

Stay With Me

A Poem by SpiderPumpkin

You hold my hands

Look deep into my eyes

And you tell me you love me

More than you loved

Annabell, Lisa, Suzanne and Jeannette

Sighing in deep trouble looks

You sit with me alone in the park

And puff on your cigarette

Telling me how upset you feel

That you heard Lisa backbiting you

Through one of your friends

The evening dawns on us

And you want to celebrate

The death of Annabell with another cigarette

To pay respects to her memory of her

Saying how she didn’t expect you to be smoker

You’re here with me now

I have given you everything

You know I will fight for you

But how can I fight your past memories?

You’re here with me now

But not really here

Will you please stay with me?
