My darkroom

My darkroom

A Poem by SpiderPumpkin

Bleeding, windows broken

Someone’s broken into my heart

I tried to protect for so long

Huddled along in my own corner

Always allowing others the freedom

Of treading in the fenced garden

Cautious and distant, I fear being found

But I am willing to lend a hand to comfort and care

Yet mortified to accept any, I sway away

But you found me, here in my own dark corner

The closest person to me, you’ll stay by my side

As I would for you, all eternity

Here in my darkroom.

I love this poem! It speak of two tones to me...one, fear of letting someone
in, two, having strength to find that one person who you can love and
trust. That's what it's all about. I will say that you use broken twice
in the first two stanzas. As I have told others when doing reviews, I just have
a pet peeve about it. Good job though, and keep up the good work...AD
