The best day of my life

The best day of my life

A Poem by SpiderPumpkin
"

A cherished memory.

"

Love that frees your spirit

A perfect moment, untainted

Forever

   Refreshing shower

       A cat nap

Butterfly kisses and a little more

    Sweet smiles and a blush

You look gorgeous in your

    navy-blue intelligent shirt

slightly unbuttoned, matching

my black dress and pumpkin pendant

A silly car ride to the party

    Lost in circles, we parked

in a secluded area, listening to

    gentle love songs, unbuttoning

a little more, caressing your smooth chest,

    knowing this moment is ours

Led to the party, an alien crowd

staying by my side, I'm home with you

a leap of faith as you jump

into the pool, with me in your arms

realising you'll always treat me tenderly.

Taking your shirt off in a challenge

in front of your skinny friends, my

heart skipped three beats, seeing your

   magnificient body overshadowing them

         reasserting your claim over me.

Saying goodbye, under the magical spell

of a princess blowing farewell kisses to her knight

will see you tomorrow, thank you for

the best day of my life.

That was very good, I especially like the structure and flow of it, especially the ending. Excellent poem, well done.

Beautiful! It flows really well, and I really felt myself drawn to the narrative style. Nice work.
