You're Not Alone

You're Not Alone

A Poem by emme33

You wake up, bad dream,

he heard you scream,

his arms wrap tight,

no more fear tonight.

Beneath the sheets,

your heart, he keeps.

Soft linen to the touch,

you’ve been through enough.

He knows why you’re scared,

because he was there,

he’s been through it all,

the rise and the fall.

The fear won’t go,

but at least, you know,

while the future’s unknown,

you’re not alone.

Unless you choose to be alone. I was hoping you'd post something sooner than later. It rained all day here.....wish it could be like there....isn't it like warm there this time of the year? Anyways.......

I liked this, but I couldn't imagine what it's like. I was raised and taught to be fearless.....after you've been through it all things don't phase you anymore.....except being out in the rain and coming home looking like a wet dog! Lol.

Great work. :)
