Falling Slowly

Falling Slowly

A Poem by Emma Pond

Falling for you was the easiest thing I’d ever done

Although I’ve yet to find out if you have those feelings too

Light sparkles in my eyes when they happen to meet yours

Laughing quietly as I turn my head shyly

I can never seem to stop myself from falling too fast

Now I’m waiting for you to catch me

Growing desperate, I often trip when you’re around

Smiling at her, I wonder if she can feel what I do

Lingering giggles escape her lips whenever I am around

Often times, she’s gazing at me as she laughs

When I catch her, she turns her head and blushes

Light dances in her chocolate brown eyes

Yearning for her touch, I often brush her shoulder when I walk past

This is very nice, showing both sides, as you do. Love is a marvelous thing, the feelings and small details of which stay with a person forever. A delightful poem, indeed.
