The ripples of water
Seem so unreal
And with that I am sealed
Ever so lightly
Water comes over the edge
And goes back discreetly
At times the waves
Are vigorous
Grasping land with emotion wondrous
As if attempting
To bring distant lands together
As if trying to take over
My tiny hands
Move over miniscule rocks
Throwing them into the vast sea
As many thoughts come to me
Many emotions combine within
Cancelling each other out
Leaving me alone to find
I am bound to this earth, intertwined
I become less
With intensified awareness
Of how the sky mirrors the waters
Or how the waters mirror the sky?
Oh how the sounds of waves
Seem to remind my spirit
Of where I had been before this life
If only you could hear it!
At this shore
It is sure that I am not myself
But I am one with the Earth itself
As I listen and see
I begin to understand all that is me
Doing so, I begin to Unravel
The mysteries of life
The answers are so surreal
Which doesn't explain why
But might account for
The ripples of water
Seeming so unreal
