The Poets' Penship

I wrote this poem to all my friends here, all the poets and story tellers, that even if we don't know each other personally, our pens and our poems make us friends.

We were just strangers since we don’t know

Or see each other in a personal show

We were just writers of our own original views

That somehow everybody can read and use

Glad to meet you on this intellectual site

Of writers that write about different genres

Enjoying the poems, stories, and plays

The result of hard work of each passing days

Thank you for connecting your mind with mine

As we review each other’s literary works

Comprehending the lines, emotions, and thoughts

Making us unique on our own little ways

We poets are such exceptional

Our writings are our bridges for us to know

That regardless of this moment that you’re not by my side

Through our pens we got friendship inside.

Penship can't be found in the dictionary.. I made this word as the combination of the words PEN + FRIENDSHIP that is why is turned to PENSHIP. Thanks to all of you who got the passion to write and the time to review each of our works. I LOVE ALL OF YOU MY FRIENDS IN WRITING. Keep Safe.. SMILE ALWAYS :) :) :)

This website is amazing, none of my "offline life" friends read my poems, they just don't like poetry and here, we don't simply read each other's works which is great but we even inspire each other, i'd probably never tried a haiku if it weren't for some friends of mine in this website. In this website we grow up as writers ... and friends :)
