UglyA Poem by Emma Marie TaylorUgly I am ugly I am free
I am ugly I am me I'm what you aren't I'm what you hate I'm the face you forever cursed fate I am the monster in your eyes I am the lips that only speak lies I am the reason you're heart is bitter I am the words you spit and titter I am ugly I am free I am ugly i am me I'm what trips you I'm what causes you pain I'm what you use to play your sick games I am the person you only saw once I am the face you ignored for months I am the girl that ruins your dreams I am the person that rips you at seams I am ugly I am free I am ugly I am me I'm what you tortured until I was broken I'm what you burned until I was black I'm what you smack for one golden token I'm what causes your smile to crack I am the girl that did you no wrong I am the girl that will never belong I am the face you spat with words Whispering chants of stomped cowards I am the face you smiled at smugly As you cut in my brain The filthy word Ugly I am ugly I am free I am ugly I am me I am the girl that will ignore what you say I am the girl that will forever stray I am the girl that shall bring you a scare I am the girl that is your nightmare I am ugly I am free I am ugly But I am me © 2012 Emma Marie TaylorAuthor's Note
