Please pardon my cynicism . . . a message like this feels like fluffy popcorn popping wildly & way over my head, taking such saccharin sentiments to a place I'm not privy to. Here in the USA, we approach 400,000 dead from covid so quickly -- 3000+ per day, hitting new record deaths every other day & our prez has been impeached for a second time -- another record. Somehow I'm lagging, as far as conjuring up a bunch of optimism. But I do agree that being optimistic is much better than ranting about the ravages! I wrote an optimistic poem recently & some readers thought it felt inauthentic. So how do we write optimistically when there are so many glum eyes reading? It's a conundrum, for sure! I might blather on about caring and being patient, trying to smile people now and again But.. recently on the helpline, I've heard people sob, gasp, back the wall or whatever, puke, curse the world, life itself. Been told to f. off because..
Believe me, dear, dear friend, have learned a lot, No denying I'm a little more cynical than I was almost five months ago,. However, just can't and won't have cynicism rot my heart. There are new cases of the virus over here,, know four in just a small area died, my sister is just out of hospital, her partner is still being treated, How can one be cynical about it all.. best to hug with saccharin words and hope help one person along the way. You know, oh wise woman, that better save one than none. Bless you, luv and forgive all my blather. Care for you and your feelings, always have. Hugs that will ever hover ... xx

What a lovely statement Emma; but unfortunately yesterday in America was as non peaceful, unloving as can possibly be understood....Everyone here is reeling from the intended coup by our sick, demented president. Thankfully he has a little over a week, then hopefully he will go to prison or a mental hospital....then and only then we hopefully will have peace, understanding, and perhaps love. Many thanks, John. Hopefully things will get back go normal eventually but rather think we have to be patient. The UK is on complete lockdown now.. little or no contact with people or going out unless for essentials etc, Hear sad tales over over the helpline.. think the world needs s little more sunshine to cheer us all up.. somehow.
