Far more than a little extra

Far more than a little extra

A Poem by emmajoy

There are times when we need extra ...

If we can't find it inside ourselves ...

family and friends ON and OFFline share, give ...

Bless their empathy and.. coloured socks ...

Please, watch and listen, no matter where you live ...

Virtual hugs ad infinitum ... ... ...

I try to remind people to call a friend, call a family member and be kind. The quiet world. lonely for many. Thank you dear Emma for sharing the excellent poetry.

A beautiful reminder that we all share the human condition of needing one another – no matter where that connection may be found . . . the power of a smile, a kind word, hugs sent across oceans can echo around the world.

Wisdom does not come without the pain of loss of some kind . . . and to watch the world share a universal distress on such a personal level from our own TVs and computer screens is simply --- well, unprecedented. None of us have been here before. E.v.e.r. The power of connectivity in this electronic age has shown us that humanity CAN step outside itself and offer a helping hand to others. The ugliness recedes in the light of hope and compassion that is front and center everywhere. You are a poet, my dearest Em – watching, recording and sharing your own brilliant light here. For all of us. Thank you, my friend. xx

Everything at this moment seems and actually us virtual: hugs, kisses, touch, smell, laugh, cry: we live in a virtual world now where we reach out as we have to for more virtual attention. Lovely, poem Emma. Fondly, Betty
