Hi Emma,

Ken phoned me this afternoon. He is being transferred to our local hospital, which is 12 miles away, next week. He's over the moon, as am I.

Thought you and his friends at Writerscafe would like to know.

Ken and Helen, his wife - are good friends and are touched by the reaction to his illness and absence.
Of course I'm relieved as are dozens ot others in the cafe. He was one of he first people to welcome me into the Cafe.. and when we lost Sarah and then Josh, he encouraged me to write how I felt. It helped so much. As did Freida and my adopted mom, Annette. It's amazimg how so many kind, good people there are in here.
