Hi Emma. I don't mind you posting updates. It makes him smile when he hears he has a 'fan' club.

I've a friend staying with me this week as I had to have ------  last Tuesday and she drove me back from hospital. Jill has accompanied me a couple of times to visit Ken. She lives in the Outer Hebrides (Barra) and is going back on Sunday. It's been good having her here.

I find the house very empty without Ken, but now I know he'll be back. We live on the edge of a small Scottish village, 12 miles from the nearest shop, but I have friends in the village that have been supporting me when I need it. And our two dogs are good company although they are not great conversationalists!

My week revolves around visiting Ken; I try to see him ever 4 - 5 days, but it will be more frequent when he's nearer. The journey to Glasgow and back is torturous as it's all single carriageway roads until you get closer to the city.

I'm also taking the opportunity to do a clear out of stuff that gets put to one side incase it's useful then never gets used, and doing the small jobs that get overlooked because I can't be bothered at the time. So I'm keeping myself occupied. 

I'm a bit calmer than I was now that my ------ is over and done with. Not my favourite procedure to have, and Ken was very worried because he wasn't with me because he knows only too well how frightening I find them. He even had the nurses phone me to check that I was alright. 

So I keep on plodding day to day and look forward to the time I can have him back here with me.

My name is Beren my last name is Ongur. Beren Ongur. It's Turkish, and Beren means beautiful, clever, strong, known person.( at least that's what they told me). And my last name is from Hungary. That's it. There is no magic in it.
