This is a lovely write Em. I love the way you slyly mix your colors and instruments. Makes me yearn for a walkabout to find this up down world.
one suggestion you might ponder: i would add a c to sent. hope stamped/love scent would still convey your thought, but in my mind add an additional sense to the poem's concluding line.

"Distant drums" remembered me of one of my favorite songs"Windmills of your mind"
"Is the sound of distant drumming just the fingers of your hand?"
In this far away up-down world
There are people like Emma
Who make us think
Who save us from the brink
And I believe
With loves mailed through the space
All species will be benefited from the bliss

Hello dearest Em, we are driving up to Adirondack Mountains today. It has been very stressful here so far and haven’t have time to properly message you. Praying you are well and that your world is gentle, as is your heart. But when I read your sweet poem i was overjoyed! So much coincidence, serendipity, alignment in that I just finished doing a poetry book that I titled “Kaleidoscope”. And there is the actual word in your poem! You write so positively and inspirationally of love and colors and music and HOPE so very much needed! Beautiful thoughts, images, language, alliteration, flow, musicality…absolutely loved this write. Will message soon. Xoxo from all three of us.

read like music to me!
Sad,
How sad and worrying that your recent stay has been so stressfu; don't like the 'sound' of that reads at all like the hoped for change of scenery. So hope the A' Mountains give you the sense of
calm the three of you need.Hope to hear more when you have time. My love and prayers. xxx
I loved the use of multiple meanings for the word blues. It is the music that evokes emotion, soul, and pain. It is the color that is the most preferred worldwide and colors the sky and ocean covering most of the earth, it is the feeling of sadness and depression felt by those in separation from others in time and space. A most wonderful weaving of thought and words.

Love letters into space? I read somewhere that NASA sent a space probe out, Voyager, with a gold plated record attached to the spacecraft. I was shocked to read that. I thought do they expect an alien race to have a phonograph? So much lost in translation, yes? I wonder how an alien race might try to initiate contact with the human race. I wonder also if perhaps they have. What an interesting thought and poem. I know it is not perhaps what you meant but it made me think of that. I like this.

'cuddling kaleidoscope letters,' how insightful I find the combination of those three words.
For me, this speaks loud that poetry mirrors life, that the lines we pen are a kaleidoscope of colours, sights, sounds and experiences forever imprinted in memory.
Like all your poetry, this is a perfectly penned 'gold edged invitation.'

Ahh, the rhythm of life and living, that use much more than just hearing, but felt within our being at an unknown, yet as much a part of our being as feet and toes.
The tune or rhythm may be upbeat at times and downbeat ot other times, but knowing it is within us, fills us with belief and hope that it is more than we can understand and as much a part of living and being as, well... Fingers and toes.
Plus, we never quite know when that beat will fill our being so completely that it makes us want to dance and smile at the connections it brings us.
It is like the mystery jukebox of life, where you drop in a coin, not knowing what time it will play next.
None of us ever do, but isn't that life? 😊

Well, you found my heart... the whole world is far away, up and down from where I sit every day. Or mow the grass, try to make sense of the mess in the kitchen, gaze up and down at the stacks of boxes like an Indiana Jones warehouse, pausing when I must because there is a blues lick hanging like a pendulum in the air ready to strike up the band and make me dance with an imaginary love who is the music and knows how to move, how to come close, our eyes Mobius infinities where red, amber, and green intrude into my indigo nights, waiting for a gold-edged invitation... wanting to believe there is always hope.
