pull clouds

pull clouds

A Poem by emmajoygreen

they sit on peaks, planets apart
pale sun, paling moon - alone,
oil in shadows, tides eddying

she creviced, he - meandering time
their calls echoing tarns to thoughts
dipped in melting ice

comes time when chimneys singe
the sky, tug loose clouds from their
moorings, tsunami threatening

eagles toss their heads, loath to
offer even thermal disposition -
Man needs see his downward slope

from the top of nowhere noble -
learn to look up to what is was
unknown, yet wholly essential
