I love: "the yellow merry mob" and "Looks like rich Cornish butter blobs."
The imagery and use of alliteration is great. It just rolls off the tongue.
I enjoyed this walk with this gentleman. You were the sunshine that entered his day.

What a generous review, thank you so very much for your visit and the comments left behind. That gentleman is delightful but, pretends not to be! He is twice my age, we walk slowly, but his mind walks quickly.. Do you recognize that type of gentleman? Take care, keep safe.. and happy.
What a lovely spring scented picture you paint with your words, that make me feel compelled to join in on the springyness by being able to nail that winter woollies wardrobe shut for another wee while or two, while cracking open my summer wear and giving everyone a perplexed look on their face as they see me in my new bright orange t shirt. It may even turn their faces inside out in confusion when they realise it is not a stranger and it's just me without my beanie hat on! They'll think I just had sugary..... Surgery to remove it! 😊
This is such a beautiful scene that reminds me of an equally beautiful, but a bit more emo sight that I love, seeing Al the purple Heather, broodily gathering on fields and trees as you drive by and feel Scottish (whether you are or not), at the sight of all that purple Heather, with its ethereal glow that makes everything look like its colour has run into everything around it. It's enough to make me miss the place, and I'm still here! 😊
Did the military seed fixator give you a chuckle as you wrote about his belt being buckled too tight and taking his starching to extremes by starching his undercrackers? 😊
You being too polite to tell him to chill out and go suck on a cornetto and enjoy the day! 😊

Plus, thanks too for chuckling me happy re. the military gent! He is fine really but forgets that manners maketh man now and again! A smile arrived just before he completely forgot. As to heather, you know I know Scotland pretty well and yes, yes, yes the look of it is beautiful, especially when in its first flush and sparjluing with rain - beautiful. Enjoy
the air to your head and admiring looks at your orange t.shirt. :)
This was beautiful in meaning. I feel the same about dandelions that sprout everywhere this time of year. Most people here consider them vile weeds to be eradicated from their yards but they are really wonderful plants. The leaves and the flowers are both edible and the folks where I was raised make wine from them. The leaves have diuretic properties, lower blood pressure and are packed full of nutrients and antioxidants. They can also be used to make a poultice for burns. The dandelions are really beautiful but nobody seems to value them very much. The little yellow beauties in the photo are gorgeous. Our wild primrose here is red and white streaked. I see them along the road now and then. I enjoyed the read. You write with such delicate passion. F.

My work is with horticulture, I learned about gardening afore primary school, with our little mum. You might have done the same. You know such important
facts so know they are - depending on where, THE first flower heads to feed insects after trhe Winter months so should be left alone for as long as possible to do what they should. Weeds are wild flowers and more than likely have many properties that living creatures (including Man) can and do benefit from. Jumping down from soapbox now! Many thanks for your review, tis brilliant.
good grief, em. you have outdone even yourself with these images of personification
I am a man...and yes seed is carried by us as well.
And I hope to always be a gentleman, but I know I fail at that from time to time.
Sure do like this poem...Your visitor needs to wake up and smell the flowers.

Two of our flowers come to mind as I read this wonderfully fun and beautifully written poem. The Bluebonnet which, even when in the lawn are left until they seed completely and they will spread creating a sea of blue again next spring and the Lantana, which at this time of year it the brightest and most vibrant yellow. Thank you for sharing this and for the smile your work always brings.

have primroses all over the grass, (don;t call it a lawn) Even tho a landscaper. I believe gardens are for Nature not for Man. When working i try encourage clients not to use too much brick or wood in their garden. But of course, need respect their needs. Again, thank you, dear Pat.
Seeds...of flower, of peace, love, forgiveness and joy...They all are airborne, free to land in barren places and bring forth such colour and joy. As long as we open ourselves, welcome those seeds. I loved this poem for its beautiful imagery of wild primroses, the sweet scenery you sketch with words and the message that went in oceans deep. This poem will be one of my favorites from you.
