My Girl

My Girl

A Poem by emma
"

I wrote this while watching my daughter play

"

The softest breeze

dances in spun gold.

Crowning glory, coiled in perfection

Oh how beautiful you are!

You smile at me,

radiant, through apple blossom haze

the magic of youth in your eyes

Oh how beautiful you are!

Your laughter lifts me

the sweetest symphony

my heart sings to your rythem

Oh how beautiful you are!

The wonder in your gaze

and amazement at the world

is the reason for all of creation

Oh how beautiful you are!!

Yes, all of our children are beautiful, but they are all different too. Some years ago, I wrote a poem called My Girl... I think it'sposted here.

What a precious, lifting write! Oh how you voice that sense of freedom, pure beauty, and joy of childhood.. Just a thought, but how wonderful to write at least one a year like this.. growing up as she does... :)
