Pi(e) Day

self-explanatory

It's Pi Day!

So pie day!

But my day got no pie,

By the by,

And buying pie

Means vying guy

And gal and kid to try

Not ending high and dry

As though about to die

From copious crying - fie!

And buying Pi

Is scientifically not viable,

So I'll just lie

In the rye

And fly with pie

(and Pi)

In the sky

Within my mind's eye.

I agree wholeheartedly -- reading your poem as a spoof -- why a big deal about "Pi" day? . . . parallels spoofy response to all the crap people howl about as if a big deal . . . it's always SOMETHING, day after day, so why not Pi!?!? I love this part -- you'd buy a pie, but no buy-in from others . . . presumably you'd have to eat the entire pie single-handedly . . . some of us would rather not share, so this could be a selling point for pie!
