All writers do it, And daily keep to it, For often ’tis through it The wonders occur. Peers grow severely Concerned, and stare queerly, But writers pace merely To nurture their spur.
Agree - though pacing is often overlooked and misunderstood by beginning writers, it is one of the key craft elements a writer must master to produce good fiction. Loved this - great share … :-)
Pacing, do I do that I ask myself? I think not, it is either manic or nothing at all. Short and snappy, and your poem made me stop and think, and reflect on my behaviour.
I did. Sometimes it's good to take a look at yourself. You don't always see what others see (lol).

You might be unique....but are your stories effective in that position? Who knows.....I find constant, steady movement around a space helps the flow of thoughts. But that's just me. Thanks for reading! Glad you enjoyed it.
Nice rhyming in this one. Short and snappy, I really liked it. (Not to mention that I have a habit of pacing up and down too when I'm deep in thought lol) Nice work!

Well, put, the connection between writers and the everyday person and how everyone experiences pace is fantastic. Word choice is strong and meaningful. Overall great piece
I always find I better focus on thoughts when I’m physically doing something. Like clicking a pen or if my mind is really bursting, pacing.
I like simple writings over small things like this because it makes them feel more significant.
It’s got a lovely flow that makes me want to give it a melody. I love “peers grow severely/concerned”. It caused faces with concerned expressions to pop into my head and made me giggle a bit.
Pacing... I had not thought of that but yes I suppose there may be truth.
I am more of a binge and purge type. Sort of like an eating disorder in the poetic sense.
I liked this.
