Haha, great observation! Criticism isn't for the faint-hearted, is it? As you said, critiques are only meant to better oneself in a particular field and one should not take them to heart. Enjoyed it!
Definitely appreciate this poem because I appreciate critisizm, but I have to admit I’m not as good dishing it out(a big reason I honestly can usually find things to like in a piece of poetry).
I like the rhyme scheme. I don’t think I’ve ever used an ABBA rhyme sceme, but I like it here, so maybe I’ll try it out. I notice this poem has 14 lines and ends on two rhyming lines (if I’m not mistaking it’s also in iambic pintameter?). Is it a type of sonnet that doesn’t have the ababcdcdefefgg rhyme scheme?
