FriendsA Poem by emipoemiWhene’er in solitude I often fall Into remembrance of the times gone by: From new beginnings, lively thrills, to all The friends I chanced to gather on the fly. Know, friends, I still remember each of thee, And all the times we shared delightfully. Though that’s now past, I hope ye all can see How cherished still our friendships are to me. Long have I but with memories now spent As silence grows and gently pains my heart. For cunning Time with wicked Fate had rent The very bonds which made us whole apart. Yet memories no woe could fully heal, For reminiscing never makes things real. -EDP © 2017 emipoemiReviews
