The girl who will never grow up

The girl who will never grow up

A Poem by emilythestrange

Watching the sun rise,

Fall, and set,

The moon shining upon the concrete,

And seeing the grass turn blue,

The flowers close up,

Holding hands with acorns,

I will always stay the girl who will never grow up.

Buttercups taste like butter,

But vanilla pods do not taste like vanilla,

Lemon drops can make you cry,

If you fly under the rainbow,

If water is from a natural source,

Then why does it have an experation date?

I will always stay the girl who will never grow up.

 I will not,

I will not follow the path that is set,

I will not live my life plan,

I will not be like the girl next door,

I will not walk the bridge that leads to being a grown up,

I will always stay the girl who will never grow up,

I will always stay the girl who will never grow up.

Thank you
I love this! Reminds me of the Neverland,Peter Pan and lost boys aspect. Also being forever young at heart.I love how you pro trey they importance of childhood, yet the disgust for growing up and becoming an adult! It reminds me of my poem ``I don't want to grow up!'' Great read.

Thank you
It's good to wish for that... but as imperfect humans we cannot stop aging... It comes to us... You don't want to grow up but you have to because that's life... It's fine to stay the way you are but life may or may not live a good impression on you... Things and your surroundings change even if you don't want to because that's how we are made... We are made to spend our life and to die with contentment in our hearts

I didn't mean on the outside, I meant on the inside. I will always stay a child inside
