Your Word

Your Word

A Poem by Emily Robinson
"

A song I wrote.

"

Laying in the dust
admist the burning sand
a soul that's aching to be found within the Lord's quiet hands

Recounting my ways,
remembering God heard
I long to know your statutes Lord, preserve me with your word

Chorus:
Let me understand your ways
I will meditate on your wonders
Help me to know Your Will
I want to obey You...

My soul aching with sorrow
the tiredness sets in
I long to be renewed, Dear Lord, strengthen me with your word

Remove me from the lies
that say You don't know best
And grant me your Law graciously, so I can follow and profess

Chorus:
Let me understand your ways
I will meditate on your wonders
Help me to know Your Will
I want to obey You...

Now my heart is set
I choose the way of truth
Help me to know your laws Dear Lord, guide me with your word

I cling to your laws
Your words become my song
Do not let me know shame Dear God, may I obey your word

Chorus:
Let me understand your ways
I will meditate on your wonders
Help me to know Your Will
I want to obey You...

Running on the path
following your commands
You have set my heart free, and I adore your word.

Chorus:
Let me understand your ways
and I will meditate on your wonders
Help me to know Your Will
I want to obey You

Bridge:

I want to...
...follow You
...worship You
...honor You
...know You
...touch You
...see You
...be like You
...believe in You
...embrace You
...thank You
...rejoice in You
...adore You.
