Holes in His Heart

Holes in His Heart

A Poem by Emily Robinson
"

This piece just sort of fell together.

"

I thought this man was my friend

But then I learned his real trade

And there were holes in his heart

For he was leaking out his soul

Pouring it out onto the floor

That hideous, drenched, mess

Emotions; meaningless, chaotic colliding hearts

A life tightly spun, trembling hands clutching tightly at brittle threads

Don’t you know that there is more?
