Most days I wake

Having dreamt of you - 

Sometimes with tears,

Sometimes with smiles. 

You fill my heart and soul

With love,

Anticipation

And the joy

Of loving you again. 

Forever

This time. 

 

It's the simple touch

Or widening of

The eyes

In response to a word

Or a gesture. 

It captures me each time. 

I haven't forgotten the pain,

It drives me

To be better. 

To remember how to love. 

To cherish what I have. 

To work towards building

Something better,

For you, with you.
