Five Years

 

I've got airplane rides,

Hotel stays

Almost every night. 

Someone stole my shoes

But I got

Time to kill

And a bottle of booze. 

Oh, 

So it's a new night babe

Got a phone that

Won't ring

And too many television waves. 

I'm gonna find

Some time

To sit real quiet 

maybe write a few lines,

But oh these nights

That stay

Take a little too long

For you to fade

Away

Somebody stole my heart

Been waiting five long years

For just a chance to

Start. 

Maybe today.
