it's you

it's you

A Poem by emilyfulken

you have me

yet you feel so far away

and yet to be truthful we are so very far away

life is moving on.

the sun rises and sets

casting its shadows

upon my window

as I stare out into the endless night

wondering what's to be

what's to come

how will it survive?

a sadness creeps

upon my door

seeping into my body once more

I cry out no more

but all is quiet

silence has wrapped itself around my shoulders

 drapping its loniness

upon my soul

tears streaking down my once but rosy cheeks.

falling down across what use to be

lips of containing endless smiles and laughter

oh do i not know

that of which is happening

but my heart

secretly telling me

this day and many more

I will grow alone

and lost

uncovered by all joy

and here I stand waiting

waiting to be released

of this such torment

waiting for you

to come release me from

this sadness

casting all bout me.

waiting because it's you

that are my only key
