Of Love I DreamA Poem by EmilEvergreenA poem about love.Of love I dream With a fear of reality returning I tear myself apart Not knowing when it will return I tear myself to pieces Knowing she, just, might, not exist I tear myself to shreds When I leave you behind In a world that is better That could be worse Yet, it's, just, better Of love I dream With a you that isn't you I hold you yet I don't I tear myself apart As I dream Of holding you in a finite eternity Yet not really ever, really making contact I tear myself to pieces Wishing to switch everything Reality and dream Dream and reality I tear myself to shreds Loving you in an infinite moment I tear myself Knowing I may not see you again because you may be just a fragment Of a false reality A dream that might be only once seen I know what you may say is finite "Forever and ever" makes me smile "Till the end of time" makes me waiver Put them together and I break Because reality is a blink away Where forever is, just, a smile of a memory Of love I dream Tearing away at the shreds of reality While I'm, really, just, growing Away from dreams That grow ever farther apart "I love you" as you touch my lips While I yearn to touch mine to yours When I'm about to I simply, just, realize, Of love I dream
