Silly Girl

Silly Girl

A Poem by Emilee Grimm

I still remember the day we said hello

words failed me as I sat in the classroom

thinking of how much I wanted you

You looked right  through me at first

until I forced myself to speak the first word.

I lost all my senses

I went spinning in circles

  when you smiled.

I thought you’d be the one

to show me what love is

But nothing went further

than the daydream of a silly girl

And I cried so many nights

because all there would ever be

was a friendship that would never last

I still remember the day we said goodbye….

Aw, this poem is so sad. It bugs me when guys can't seem to catch on that the girl likes them or they just don't want her.
I know the feeling!
A great write!
