Missing You

Missing You

A Poem by Emilee Grimm

words aren’t what I want to hear

your voice-that’s all I need

the feeling of your arms around me

your eyes penetrating mine

the perfectly addicting contagious smile

that warms my cold insides

but reality is too close to ignore

I know you don’t think of me anymore

It hurts to believe you threw it away

but when I lie in bed

I can’t fall asleep

because I miss you

I want you

I need you

I wish you

had taken the chance

to know me in ways

some people never will.

This is beautiful. I believe you would be very suited to writing prose. This poem just calls for that format. I believe it would allow you to express even more emotion. Wonderful work.
