I was never that girl everyone liked

I was never that girl everyone crushed on

I was never that girl everyone admired

I was never that girl who was fashionable

I was never that girl who had talent

I was never

I will never

I wish I was

I wish I could be

That girl.

I have often felt this way myself, although I'm a guy. In high school, and now in college, I was never that person. Like the end of your poem says, I wished I could be that person. Many days I thought it would end my loneliness or fill me up. Then a few people came along and really cared for who I was. They showed me that I didn't need to be that person that everyone wanted. It's really cliche to say, but a genuine heart is worth more than the popularity. When you have a heart like that and love yourself, you get comfortable with who you are. People are attracted to that and they want to be with you.

I felt the pain here, and I think its a brave thing for you to write it out. Keep writing and letting your heart shine :-)
