Luck of the Draw

Luck of the Draw

A Poem by Emilee

You have this idea of what kind of movie,
Your life is and you expect the characters
You cast to behave a certain way.
To read from the script.

But the best ones never do.

And that's what happened with you,
you are like, being carried into bed,
from the car when you are younger.

You are like a shooting star,
Or a four leaf clover.

You are the last person I expected,
To mean anything to me.

You are luck of the draw.
