The Silent InterviewA Poem by MirrorHard Choices , Tough Hearts. There in the silent room Sitting with hands clasped Elbows touching the knees A serious look Rolled up sleeves Grand wristwatch Neat fingers And his thoughts lingers They watched him consider Was the pay too low? they wondered He was too good to let go They silently hoped he will say yes The tables itself remained silent Holding anxious hands and sheets They heard he had wife and kids But a man must be a man on dot Don't give up just yet In you heart For who knows where your worth lies? In dreams, in paths The journey can not tell So long, farewells In here, right here, on tables, the gamble The choice, In the silent room
