The Journey to Happiness

Eventually there will be light where there was once darkness.

And in that moment she knew.
She knew she could be happy,
She knew she had moved ahead,
She knew she was finally on the right track.

The track that trailed far into the distance
But not too far to feel overwhelmed.
A safe distance.
A comfortable distance.

Because that's all that mattered now,
The past is done,
There are no regrets,
And nor should there be.

She is a better person,
A person who will be happy,
A person who will be brave,
A person who will fight for what they want.

The fight to make them happy.
The fight on the journey to happiness.

Just a short poem that came to mind, so there's not much of a real structure. Enjoy :-)
