This fridgid morning
From the dusty metro bus window I watched the sun Lazely creep out From beneath Her thick velvet ebony blanket Ever so gently peeling off Nights ridgid armor I felt her sparkly rays Warm upon my frosted cheeks And I couldn't help but giggle The bus finally halted And bruised my elbows I stepped out of the congestion Into the bewildered city street I was greeted By Dawn. She exhalted a sigh That blew through my curly locks And gently caressed my bare neck Sending chills onto my ivory skin Yet simultaneously warming my soul I watched her Gracefully climb her way up Into the pale placid sky Above the plush milky clouds She was perched I wonder if anyone else noticed In the midst of morning rush hour © 2011 EmeraldFacetReviews
