Midnight Lightning / Early one Mornin

A Poem by Eddie M deadwolf

a Blues Rock Song, Sung slower but strong

I Woke up early one mornin,
I had you on my mi-i-ind,
I’m crying;
Yes I woke up early one mornin;
Had you on my mi-i-ind,
I’m crying;
I should have left you, when I was young,
Yes I should have quit you darlin, long time ago
But I just can’t leave you;
No I can never make it past your door,
Midnight lightning striking,
Got me so blind; I can’t see;
Midnight lightning striking darlin,
You got me…Lord, I just cant tell you no,
If I stay here, you’d take my soul,
If I leave you, an all I’ve known
If I left you, and gone back home,
It would kill me, an the world I known
You got me so high,
I don’t know which way to go,
And Midnight Lightnin striking me darlin,
Chained to your killing floor,
   ~~~
   Midnights Lightning crashin hard against her waves,
Lovingly, moving through the oceans waters to her floors,
Earth and Sky touching, making love along the sand
The mornin lights thunder echo’s,
 Sounds of last nights moanful passions,
Lovers together forever, she his world, him her Thundering Sky
Their imprints left in the sand;
Midnight Lightning Crashin hard
A black lightnings hold on me
Midnights lightning crashin hard against her waves, Lovingly moving through the oceans waters to her floors, Earth and Sky touching, making love along the sand"
In every lover's voice
In every lover's unspoken gaze
In each second that is the endless eternity
I will be there in answer to the question
I will be the Goddess that you seek
In this unholy world we cherish, all I can answer is my beating heart
All I can give is my life
Will that be enough to heal that wound
the burning of incense is the aroma i smell
to cover the doubt of my failures
to cover the doubt of our dreams.
