Darkness in The Night

Darkness in The Night

A Poem by Eddie M deadwolf

Em Am Em C Em Am F C  G
Hiding from the light, like a demon in the night,
I curse an dwell in darkness;
Wounded in hate, like a sinner in delight,
Left alone, Damned you ever knew me;
Trembling with rage, as though a man possessed,
I rise up against the chains
tying me down in other men’s likeness …
Wounded in Love, all that’s innocent has died;
Like a dove crying out, shot down from the sky;
Broken hearted and shattered inside,
Does anyone know, where the Love of God goes,
When the world he’s given you is taken
I don’t know who I am without you
Day after day listening to no one cry out,
I don’t know who I am with you…
