Invisible Town.A Poem by E. M. BarmaschI thought of this while reading Italo Calvino's Invisble Cities, hence the title. This town does not exist, is not real at all. Cause when I'm sad, I see no flowers fallen from the trees into the sidewalk, but the grey cement upon which I bruised my knee while learning to ride my bike. I don't see the train plataform where I awaited my highschool sweetheart to arrive, but the rails where the kid next door jumped to to end with his own life. This town is not real, I am. © 2017 E. M.
