Invisible Town.

Invisible Town.

A Poem by E. M. Barmasch
"

I thought of this while reading Italo Calvino's Invisble Cities, hence the title.

"
This town does not exist, is not real at all.

Cause when I'm sad, I see no flowers fallen from the trees into the sidewalk,
but the grey cement upon which I bruised my knee while learning to ride my bike.

I don't see the train plataform where I awaited my highschool sweetheart to arrive,
but the rails where the kid next door jumped to to end with his own life.

This town is not real,
I am.
