ChristmasA Poem by MaryPJust to prove I'm not a Scrooge I wrote a happy Christmas poem too..The snow hugs the ground As we gather all around The crackling fireplace To warm our frozen face Our cheeks flush bright red We all feel over fed Because Christmas day is here And the world is filled with cheer The reindeers have been and gone The children’s faces shone When they saw the piles of gifts Thanking the jolly myth We’ve eaten all the sweets And put fluffy socks on our feet I can hear the carollers outside Singing songs of festive tide And you can’t help but smile This day only comes once in a while So put on your paper crown And turn that frown upside down Farewell to sadness and sickness There’ll be no sad faces on Christmas © 2010 MaryPAuthor's Note
