Don't tell me

Don't tell me

A Poem by MaryP
"

I am so tired of other people inflicting their opinions onto me.

"

Don’t tell me what to do

I want to make my own decisions

Don’t tell me what to think

I have my own opinions

Don’t tell me where to go

I want to shape my own path

Don’t tell me how to feel

I want to cry and scream and laugh

Don’t tell me I’m too young

I have my how life ahead

Don’t tell me I’m too old

I like the cartoon sheets on my bed

Don’t tell me that I can’t

I have the whole world at my feet

Don’t tell me how to act

I have a whole person inside of me
