I Will Love Her Forever

I Will Love Her Forever

A Poem by MaryP

I will love her forever

He promised when he saw her from across the room

I will love her forever

He swore as they walked under the moon

I will love her forever

He thought as his lips touched hers

I will love you forever

He said in spite of the doubtful murmurs

I will love you forever

He promised on every cold winter night

I will love you forever

He swore when she wore her wedding gown of white

I will love you forever

He thought as she bore his child

I will love you forever

He said as her wrinkled face turned and smiled

This little love story GREAT!---That last line touched my heart. What a fantastic ending for the fortunate ones who experience this happy companionship. Indeed, he WILL love her forever! ---Like it! I think I'll go kiss my wife and tell her I love her!
