From Inside the Protest Walls

From Inside the Protest Walls

A Poem by MaryP

The camera shows

What the government see's

Teenagers starting trouble

Students breaking private property

They show fires and glass

Shouting and crowds

Bias hardly concealed

The opinions too loud

While the men in blue

Order the guys in green

To stay hidden away

From those violent teens

So they stay hidden in their buildings

Behind bricks and locks

Lying to society

Thriving on the drama and shock

But government please

Keep on with your lies

For the next generation

Will use their own eyes
