a man of contradictionA Poem by MaryPThey preach about a man Who hides in the clouds Away from the evil he has created They say he has ten laws Each one is broken every day He is omnipotent He is omniscient He is benevolent Yet he hides away He watches the cruelty He ignores the constant pleas.
The teachers tell of a man Who created man A man who abhors hatred Yet creates so much worthy of it They teach a contradiction And yet they cannot understand Why they are overwhelmed With atheists and agnostics My friends, its because the world Is not as naïve as it used to be. © 2010 MaryPAuthor's Note
