Cage

Cage

A Poem by MaryP

There is said to be a secret cage

A cage locked in a red, pumping beast.

There is said to be men locked in that cage.

These men all feel differently.

One man feels angry. He often breaks out.

One man feels sad. He is ridiculed and hated.

One man feels happy. He is wearing away. He is almost gone.

One man feels scared. He is ignored.

The cage is guarded closely by a young girl.

She decides who is let out.

She lost the key.

She lost control.

The men of emotion now control her.
